Zillow
You think your house is worth over a million dollars? Your neighbors claimed to have theirs appraised for $1.5M.

And yours has twice the acreage, a renovated kitchen and a cuter dog.

Thousands of people are now confirming their neighbors’s claim on Zillow.com where any person can get an estimate of the value of their house, their neighbor’s house or any other house that they may be interested in buying or selling.

Zillow has entered home sales into a national database where users can access the data to get a Zestimate or comp for any house that they are interested in.

The more data Zillow has in a given area, the more accurate the Zestimate. Zillow claims that over 70% of its Zestimates are within 10% of the confirmed appraised value of the house.

As more and more public data is entered in Zillow, the more accurate the Zestimate will be. Zillow hopes that by the end of 2007, 90% of its Zestimates will be within 10% of appraised accuracy.
